Returning home Qatar Airways managed safe transport all the way to New York where we collected bags and rechecked them on American Airlines, nothing was broken at that time.
Travelling half way around the world was no problem, New York to Miami the mold was lost and arrived by courier utterly destroyed. Leaving Asia the shrink wrap was 3/4" thick, in NY the shrink wrap was 3/4" thick. Arriving by courier the shrink wrap was 1/4" thick. A separate trip was taken BACK to the airport to file a claim since it must be done in person and shown to them. No claim was allowed because they felt the packaging was "insufficient" and they would not take responsibility for TSA inspecting. There was no TSA tag showing they had inspected as they are required to leave. Requesting to talk to someone in customer service Commodore Swab was informed that American Airlines had no customer service at Miami International Airport and security was called. When security arrived they could see that he was very calm and what was transpiring. Surprising security understood what was going on but could do nothing to help as it was "American Airlines" problem and not the airport.
